  • Influenza

The flu is caused by a virus that spreads typically between October and May each year.  The flu strikes suddenly and lasts for several days, causing fever, chills, sore throat, muscle ache, cough and headache.  Getting the flu shot every year is the best way to prevent catching the fly.  Stop by Mills Pharmacy and get protected today.

  • Shingles

Herpes Zoster is a virus that causes a painful rash and blisters on the skin known as shingles.  Though the rash typically lasts 2 to 4 weeks, the pain can be long lasting.  At Mills Pharmacy we offer Zostavax, a vaccine that can help protect you against this virus.  Ask our pharmacists if Zostavax is right for you.

  • Pneumococcal

Pneumococcal disease can infect the lungs, blood and the brain.  While anyone can get pneumococcal disease, children under 2 and adults over 65 are at the highest risk.  At Mills Pharmacy we offer two vaccinations to help protect you from many of the most common disease-causing strains.  Ask our pharmacists which one is right for you.

  • Hepatitis B

Hepatitis B is a virus that can lead to permanent liver damage, liver cancer and death.  The virus is easily spread by contact with blood or bodily fluids found on common household items like toothbrushes, razors or blood glucose monitors.  Ask our Pharmacists if you are a candidate for vaccination against Hepatitis B.

  • Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis

Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis are very serious diseases.  The good news is that all three can be prevented with a single vaccine.

Tetanus, also known as “lockjaw”, causes muscle pain and stiffness.  Diphtheria can cause trouble breathing, heart failure, paralysis and even death.  Pertussis, also known as whooping cough, can cause severe cough, difficulty breathing and vomiting.

Let Mills Pharmacy protect you from all three.  Ask our pharmacists about the Tdap vaccine today.
