Mills Pharmacy Wins Grant To Fight COVID-19 in Communities of Color

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Oct. 11, 2022)

Central Alabama-based chain Mills Pharmacy today announced the receipt of a grant from the Bureau of Communicable Disease, Immunization Division through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The grant's focus is to promote education, outreach, and access to COVID-19 vaccines in minority communities.

In accordance with the terms of the grant, Mills Pharmacy will undertake multiple programs in and around its service areas, including providing educational events, partnering with local mental health agencies, school systems, and housing authorities to provide education and vaccination clinics, coordinating these efforts with community partners, and continuing to stock and supply approved COVID-19 vaccines.
